and we bid goodbye to another fren from this place, on to another life, somewhere, hopefully in peace. went to watch War of the Worlds on wednesday, and finally we hv a show that sorta lives up to its hype, for those that read the book, it'll not be a total rip off, but it maintains the main plot of H G Well's storyline, filled wif blood n some gore. Dakota Fanning (the kid) really did very well with her irritating-and-ignorant kid that doesn't know jus when to shut up and when to stand still. haha like xin yi said, really feel like slapping her at some point of the movie, when she jus screams at every single opportunity =) (no spoilers here i hope =D) had a more-or-less quiet week so far, been doing some walking, meeting up wif old frens n having lunches n jus doing anything but SURVEY work. woo hoo... and also signed my pay packet for june. really surprised, actualy tot i'll earn much lesser cos i simply didn't clock in alot of days compared to may. hmmm the extra dollars would help in paying for my uni fees...planning to pay for my uni hostels n laptop without my parents' "sponsorship", dunno leh, think its sorta like a step forward towards independence... ( though i must admit it, i'm still dependent on them for my food n laundry hehe =P)a small step maybe, but a step nevertheless, all these in my grand plan of "financial n time" independence. hehehe, for those sufficiently confused, never ind, can always explain it if u wanna know :P total initial costs would be in the range of $5k (1 yr stay in hostel + 1 laptop + own food + transport) and all these would burn a hole right through my bank n into the core of the earth... (YIKES!) but wad to do sia, anybody wanna contribute to the "Help Ghim" fund? contributions are welcomed. anywaythis coming wk will be spent wif the NUS union camp, haha hope it'll rock!!! gotta start to make use of all these time more fruitfully, less than a month till uni begins man... haha can't wait, but also kinda wish got more time to nua still :P hahaha... oh wells, take care folks. ghimz out.
