wooo....

activators n co-activators, repressors and co-repressors, TAF, RNAPII, Phospherise, Acetylisation, Unbiquitinalise, methylisation....

me memory totally wiped blanked... haha, if the above words dun sound english to you, dun worry, u ain't alone, but then, if u take life sciences n those words are greek, then god bless you man... ;P

crashed a life sciences lecture wif serina today, wanted to see how does the learning environment there compares to ntu, hmm, generally i would say its quite similar, the girls are there (duh!), the place looks, well, scholarly (not as in scholarship kinda scholarly, but educated kinda scholarly, ya?)

well, guess both institues will hv its pros n cons. anyway think it's kinda too late to make any last minute change of heart already, cos the application period's over already i think. k so NUS here i come!!! give me all you can throw at me!! YAaaaAaaa!!!! *runs for cover*

oh, too fast liaoz

*rewinds to morning 10.30am*

met up wif serina to crash NJC, wanna check out how much hv things changed n if the teachers are still there. wanted to check out if they had any relief teaching jobs that i can do. met up wif a few teachers, mariam tan, mrs lai, mr koh (VICE PRINCIPAL WOW!!!) and alot more that looks familiar but can't put a name to them until we saw their photos outside the staff room :)

had quite a interesting time, walked around the familiar podium, went up to my old study corner (apparently it was named Sanctuary, haha vaguely remembered it). realised they hv boxed up the entire area wif glass wall, and there was AIR-CON!!! man... wish there were such luxuries for us back then. but then, the environment n setting looke dmuch better in the past, though it wasn't as conducive as now. haha those notoriously strong winds would jus "happen" to blow across the study area, sending notes and papers flying in all sorta directions, n some of us would jus lie flat out on the table to "shield" the precioussss notes from being blown off till it tides down.

memories.

generally the sch compound didn't change too drastically, there was still the usual melody that signalled the end of a period, the beautiful sound that we would look forward to right from the start of the lesson. the garden is still there, wif the additions of several art works by the art students.

canteen food still rocks!!! haha apparently most, if not all of the stall holders still remained and guess the food is still cheap n good! *exceptions to the western food, which still remains under the try-if-you-dare category for me*

today was like a big reunion of sorts, coincidentally met gabriel, ying n co in the canteen!!! apparently they were also there to check out the place and the house reps thingy we ended up talking and joking at the canteen table, savouring good ol' nj food, all the while nj students in their full grey looked at us and wonders: who are these ppl doing at my seat during recess!!! jus like how we would tot back then. haha.

oh ya, apparently the office's selling these NJ graduation bears decked in the NJ full grey uniform, really cute sia. haha both of us decided to get 1 each, shall post up the pic eventually. it even had the njc silver buttons, jus lacked the njc badge haha... oh ya, also got another Terra shirt, shall go back antoher time, wif more $$$ to get the other house t-shirts too haha.

jio4 wu4 yi1 zai4, dan4 ren2 shi4 yi3 fei1, nvm, at least its the memories tt count the most :)

so ends a apparently heart warming trip down memory lane to NJC.

NJC, ain't not jus ain't stoners sch okayyyy? haha
