wow... jus 1 week away from collecting back my pink i/c... i wonder if i can still remember how that primary 6 kid's photo on my i/c looks. had a long week this last week, ended my LAST Ops B duty in Sembawang Wharves as a NSF on tuesday. that night was marked with the initiation ceremony for the new Spartan officers (i.e. the new officers that jus joined the battalion) with the scars of our own initiation ceremony last yr still sore n healing. the "old bird" officers ganged up and gave the new officers, shall we say, a very very warm welcome reception to the spartan family. not a single new officer OR old officer drank less than 8 mugs. the new PCs finally joined the company on wednesday to get to know the men n commanders, it was quite a mild afair, jus a whole morning for the new officers to talk to everybody, men sect comdrs, ps n the old pcs... my understudy is 2lt luke, a nice chap though he's from delta wing :P haha. anyway wednesday n thursday was catered fro the new pcs to learn the ropes n "suck" whatever they can from us old birds so that their pc tour would not cock up. anyway friday was cohesion day, had a short though tiring run at east coast park, followed by a cohesion dinner at Banana Leaf Apollo... nice place, Great food! the curry fish head is superb!!! after that we went for some.. er hem... more cohesion activites till early morning. =) woke up at 12pm today n went to the NUS Open House... went down to engineering faculty to talk to the profs n the senior students.. apparently got a very very clear view of their university life... made me went abt to think abt how i really wanna spend my time in university.. flash back to one conversation i had wif shiwei, it was abt how she ended up wif accountancy... jus kinda puts some doubts in my head abt whether this course's for me... hmm... anyway had a SMASHING time at the open house, managed to get a glimpse of how the uni function n the amenities... think i'll stay in yusoff ishak or kent ridge hall for the 1st yr.. jus for interests n curiosity sake, though i would really love to stay on for the full 4 yrs, doubt its possible, given the amt of committment i need to devote to CCAs, sch work n stuff. conclusions at the end of the day: - stay in Chemical Engineering
- apply to stay in Yusoff Ishak or Kent Ridge Hall
- join ODAC for uni
- enjoy my time spent in uni
- score at least decent grades for my course...
yeah yeah, very ambitious, haha,,, but shouldn't we aim high? if we can't hit the sun or the moon, at least we hit the stars right?chill folks. been a lengthy posts.
