well, 2 down, 1 more to go man... ndp preview is over. the last week has been a pressure cooker gaining pressure, almost to the threshhold. luckily for me i was still able to keep my cool n not cross that threshhold and get myself in problems n shits...

so much to talk about, so hard to describe.

had a lot of recce for ndp preview prior to the actual day, we painstakingly made the big big signboards, made it very obvious to all the motorists so as to assist our traffic flow (our rice bowl for ndp), placed it up on thurs, made several last min changes on friday and that day also pissed me off mighty big time... (details not nice to publish here, but essentially i do not blame anybody that were with me, but jus a accumulation of all the "piss" that hv been broiling many weeks long, in fact, quite sorry that they have to see me finally becoming damn attitude and silent all the way back camp).

went back to selarang and waited for my oc to return form the battalion final coord (AT 11PM AT NIGHT) and then given more news, some slight, but kinda irritating changes. then went to sleep on sat morn 2am...

its ok if they give 10001 changes and at least the final result is not a repetition of wad it WAS... but then making changes that were not tied down with external changes and thus forcing us to revert changes seemed to diminished the efforts of all those that put in so much hard work to change them and not a single thanks or stuff... (well dun really expect thanks, never had much thanks around here)

well, the good thing is that my mena nd allt he deployed sectors ran quite smoothly, except for 1 control point due to some confusion and some veyr veyr big shot guy trying to come in and over ride my instructions from my OC. the rest of my men had a pretty eventless day compared to ne show. now really fully of confidence in my men that yeah, this is a bunch of guys that i can trust to do their job even when i'm not around, monkeying around aside, at the end of the day, they got the job done and they did it with little complaints.. it helped that i talked and spent time explaining to them our rational... and also they got "protection" by me that no shit will hit them if they follow my instructions :) they confiently went about doing their jobs and together iwth my specialists, our entire southern sector in the stadium was quite smooth :) hopefully the spectators, and participants that went around leisure park, and mac kfc area appreciated it :) oh well, there's still ndp rite?
:)

yeah kinda feling much better, thanks to shiwei for being my outlet to channel all the feelings to... yeah haha... and dorlisa for really being really really sucha nice ger, not mattering that i went to the chalet looking so sian diao n stuff n jus basically zombied aournd till i went up to sleep... sorry leh ger, really wanna spent time talking n stuff but i guess its cos of the ndp fatigue... haha started at 7 am yest morning, slept about 4 hours eveyr nite last week. yeah that kinda fatigue eventually gets to me... sorry ger!!! :) i'll make up for that..

The ultimate measure of a person is not where one stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where one stands at times of challenge and controversy.

If a man is called to be a streetsweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven played music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause to say, here lived a great streetsweeper who did his job well.

-Dr Martin Luther King Jr.

some foo dofr thought, martin luther king jr is a really inspirational leader and his speeches are so full of emotion and rallies all about him. the woulrd would od well if he had not been assassinated... such pity.

will such kind of leader rise up one day again?
